Microfest pilot project 2022
Since 2014, with the Arts Council and local funders’ support, we’ve delivered the JamTent project at Kendal Calling Music Festival, providing musical and social opportunities for local people with special educational needs and learning difficulties.
In 2021 we devised the MicroFest project, live-streaming artists performing at Kendal Calling to vulnerable groups in Kendal, Carlisle, and Barrow who, due to covid and related health concerns, were unable to attend the festival.
We invited local artists to perform in situ at each MicroFest and held jamming and Q&A sessions with artists at Kendal Calling via Zoom.
